Hello blogger buddies...Yes, another loss. This is great.
Hey lili, you are right, it does seem that we go 2 steps forward and 1 step back. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who feels that way. I'm being patient because the clothes are getting looser, oh Yeah! OK, my name is Robin. :)
I took the kids to Wendy's yesterday. When I took the bag from the lady at the drive thru, by habit, I pulled a fry from the bag. My 10 year old, yelled "Mommy don't ruin your diet". I thought that was so special..I took his advise, no fries for me.
cb: I talked to Winston yesterday and he is on a downward trend, I don't remember how much he's lost, I'll ask him to update his blog. This is funny...his weight loss has been slower than he'd like, so he went out and bought another scale, just to be sure his old scale was accurate...it was! He's returning the new one. :o)
biz: I checked my seasonings for salt content and there's a few that I'm no longer using. I love the Adobo seasoning, but it has too much sodium. thanks for the tip.
jennifer& ed, and maryg, it's always nice to get a friendly word from you. I won't give up.
You are doing so well.
Ed, why'd you "force-feed" jennifer the onion soup?LOL
Oh yeah, I am thinking about joining a team for the 2008 Washington, DC Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in October. We’ll be walking 60 miles over three days, October 3-5, to help fund breast cancer research and community outreach programs. It's a good cause and training everyday would surely keep the lbs off. I'll let you know what I decide.

I don't know, I ate everything by the book and drank plenty of water. I can't wait to get out of the 70's. I'll be patient and wait for the loss. Right now, I'll be satisfied with losing inches! Funny, this morning I feel so alive, I mean super energetic..the gain was a total surprise. hmmm
I'm at work now, so I'll have to keep is short.

I hope everyone had a fun & restful weekend. Saturday, my 10 year old son had a basketball game and that was the highlight of my day. At the games, I sit with a group of boisterous parents who the referees sometimes want to throw out of the gym. We yell, scream, cheer and yes, the refs have threatened to kick us out. I love it..it's such a rush! Sunday, I went to a Silpada jewelry party...some of you ladies probably know their products. There was a variety of chips and dips. I did eat one buffalo wing and a thin slice of cheese. I attempted to peel off the skin, but ended up eating it all. I did pass on the wine, though.
I'm not disappointed about the gain considering, I had crab legs and shrimp with baked tomatoes for dinner last night. It's kind of hard to weigh crab legs raw. My mom makes baked tomatoes as a side dish all the time. Her recipe consists of stewed tomatoes, bread crumbs, sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla flavoring. I modified her recipe to be "hcg friendly". I minced (2) fresh tomatoes, 2 melba toast crumbs, splenda, cinnamon, allspice and vanilla flavoring. Blend all together and bake in a small casserole dish. My husband even liked it. He prepared the seafood dinner to include salmon. He didn't know I can't have salmon. It looked so good! After eating the chicken wing and cheese, I didn't want to push it. :o)
Hello buddies....biz, mary,ed&jennifer, becca, winston and lili.
BTW: I'm wearing a pair of size 14 pants today. Pulled them out of the archives, they still had the price tags on them. My normal/old size is a 16. whoo whoo!

Yes! I'm going down! I can see myself now in those size 10 skinny jeans! I went to the BACK of my closet and found a pair of size 12' jeans and just for fun, I tried them on. I was able to get them up over my fattycakes (they are the stretchy type with lycra) but buttoning them was out of the question. LOL! Need another 6" off the waist. I'll try them on again in another week and let you know the result.
My daughter said my regular "big girl jeans" are getting saggy in the butt. I appreciated the compliment. I'm feeling great and have lots of energy in spite of my 500 cal diet. I'm, "high energy" normally and taking off a few pounds has only helped. My husband hasn't said anything about my weight loss yet..hope he's not hatin'. He'd better look at me now because soon he won't recognize me. :o)
My co-workers have noticed that my eating habits have changed and they have started to ask questions. I don't mention hcg, shots or 500 cal because they will think I am on another fad diet. In time, they will see the result and MAYBE then I will tell them our secret.
I hope everyone is having/had a good Saturday. Thank you all for looking in on me and hello to all my new blogger buddies. I will be checking out your blogs.
Mary- hope you had a happy birthday!!

I was speechless when I got on the scale this morning(and that's unusual for me) ...finally a loss. Oh yeah, I feel like "it's my birthday"...you know the song! :o)
I think I will add lean beef to my diet to see if it makes a difference in my loss. I could use a change. I have a cabbage roll recipe in mind that I'd like to try. A friend recommended a strawberry lemonade recipe that sounds good. I've read Pounds and Inches, must have missed the part about eating veal and beef.(duh!) becca..Thanks for the link to the hcg recipes.
Today is my "skip day" and so far so good...no hunger pains. My skip day was supposed to be yesterday but I completely forgot. You'd think i'd be looking forward to a "no shot" day.
I'll let you know tomorrow how I do.
Thanks maryg, biz, becca & lili for looking in on me. I appreciate your comments and advise, they keep me going. Yes, lili I am silly, crazy, off the heezy...all that! My daughter just turned 16 last week and she thinks she's my mom. She's now bugging me about driving, I don't know if i'd feel safe with her on the road. :) She teaches me all the latest slang and dance moves, so when her friends come over, she plays her ipod and says, "dance for them mom". It's all fun! I do anything to stay in touch with her and to get to know all of her friends because with teenagers, it's sometimes hard to reach them.. they think parents "can't relate" ya know. I also have 2 handsome sons, ages 7 and 10. I will post pictures at some point.

If it weren't for all the positive feedback from you all, I would begin to get discouraged...so keep it comin'. I need all the positive "blogger vibes" I can get. Maybe it's my lip gloss that I apply all day. What do you think? Is it possible that my body is absorbing the oil? What are you ladies using? I am doing everything by the book. The good thing is that I am losing inches, even when I don't lose lbs. Whoot Whoot!
Biz asked if I've tried eating beef. I thought I was only allowed fish and chicken as protein??
Question about supplements, how do multivitamins and calcium affect the diet?
Here's what I ate yesterday...
breakfast: 1/2 grapefruit
snack: melba toast

dinner: chicken & cabbage
drinks: water and lemonade
Start weight: 186.4

Well, I didn't post yesterday, Monday. I was off for MLK day and didn't turn my computer on. It was nice to have a break. As a profession, I manage a computer helpdesk and I am usually looking at a computer screen all day...so I took a break. Monday morning I recorded no loss...hmmm. Yes, I'm doing everything by the book. I'm not sweating it because I can see my body reshaping, although I didn't lose a pound I have loss inches from my waste and thighs. Guess the fats on the move. Maybe Biz is right about the fish, maybe I need to up the cals. I am going to eat chicken for the next few days to see if that increases my loss. Fish is my favorite, but I will give the chicken a try and will keep you posted.

I did eat 3 raw asparagus spears and a tiny cabbage roll and no gain! Today, I will stick strictly to the protocol and hope for a more significant loss tomorrow. Gotta go now and soak my dancin' feet! Have a great weekend.

Today is my skip day and so far I have no hunger pains. I will let you know how I feel as the day progresses. The first 6 days were a breeze, no problems with the 500 calorie restriction, it's just a matter of preparing meals in advance. Looking forward to that.

Another lb. Yeah!!! I'd like to see an increase in weight loss...2lbs a day would be nice!! I am going to start walking, jogging or jumping rope to see if I can "kick it up a notch".
I have a company function this Friday, this will be yet another temptation, as the theme is Polynesian and the food is expected to be good. There will be a DJ, so I'll stay on the dance floor.
Nothing like a little cha-cha slide as a distraction. :)
Menu:
Breakfast: 1/2 grapefruit
Lunch: fish & spinach
Snack: apple, melba toast
Dinner: fish (tilapia) & cucumbers w/vinegar
Drinks: water & tea
Start weight: 186.4
Today's weight: 179.6
Overnight Loss: -1.0
Total Loss: -6.8lbs
Another lb. Yeah!!! I'd like to see an increase in weight loss...2lbs a day would be nice!! I am going to start walking, jogging or jumping rope to see if I can "kick it up a notch".

Fattycakes New Lifestyle - Day 2 VLCD
Start Weight: 186.4lbs -January 12
Today's Weight: 184.4lbs
Goal: 145lbs
Overnight loss: -2
I woke up to find that I lost 4 pounds, 2 of which I gained during my 2 day load. I've had no problems with hunger. The biggest challenge is going to be remembering not to taste the food that I prepare for my family. My husband brought home chinese food and I was able to resist.
My daughter made pancakes this morning and I turned away from them too.
Todays menu:
breakfast - an apple & water
lunch - chicken breast & cabbage
dinner - chicken breast & tomato
snack 1/2 grapefruit & melba toast
drinks - lemonade & water
My goal is 145lbs and I am hoping to reach the halfway mark during my first round. Can't wait to get into a pair of those "skinny jeans" that my 16 year old wears. When I do, I will post a picture!
A "shout out" to my homeboy, thanks for the encouragement.

Fattycakes - Outta Fat City - Load day
After 3 kids and 30lbs, I am looking forward to a new hcg lifestlye and a transformed me! I've been hesitant to get started but after seeing my homeboy lose almost 60lbs in less than 2 months...I am psyched.
I woke at o'dark thirty yesterday to administer my first injection. It wasn't as traumatic as I thought it would be. I had to look in the mirror to make sure the needle was in my arm. No pain, although there was a little soreness around the injection site, later in the day. I don't know if it was psychological or not, but I wasn't hungry all day, don't know if the hcg had anything to do with it, but I had no appetite and had to force myself to eat all the greasy fatty foods recommended in the manuscript. Today's shot was also painless. I had a McDonald's breakfast with 2 apple pies, as I invisioned my arteries clogging. :) Tomorrow will be the true test, will I be able to survive on a 500 calorie diet?
